When I met Jerry for the first time it was like meeting an old friend. Jerry was never a stranger to anybody, he had that way about him, to make you feel special and important. People used to ask me in the stores, is he like this at home, jolly and funny and I would reply, always. Jerry was never in a bad mood and he accepted things as they came, when you were with him you knew everything was going to be allright. I hope he knew how much he was loved and appreciated by his loving wife and also by all that knew him, I miss his voice although I can still hear it in my head, I miss his smile but it is engraved in my memory and I miss his unfailling faith in God, that made his dying process more comforting, knowing that after he completed his journey on this Earth he was going to see his Saviour's face. He is in my heart forever.

During his last days on this plane I pondered over what him would be more suited to his personality and I remembered an old Hymn that goes something like this:

Beyond the sunset
O bissful morning
When with our Savior Heaven is begun
Earth's toiling ended
O glorious dawning
Beyond the sunset
When day is done
O glad reunion
With our dear loved ones
Who've gone before
In that fair homeland
Will know no parting
Beyond the sunset
Forever more
